Another in the long line of Arizona prep standouts to enter the Wildcat program ... Led St. Mary’s High School to the 2001 Class 5A state championship with a 30-3 record ... Averaged 22.0 points, 15.0 rebounds, 6.0 blocks and 3.0 assists per game as a senior ... St. Mary’s won the Desert Valley Conference title with a 10-0 record ... Named Player of the Year by the Arizona Republic ... Was the Arizona Gatorade Player of the Year ... A fourth-team Parade All-America ... A McDonald’s All-America nominee ... As a junior, Frye averaged 15.0 points, 12.0 rebounds, 9.0 blocks and 6.0 assists per game for coach David Lopez at St. Mary’s. He led the team to a 26-7 record in 2000, a berth in the Class 5A state tournament semifinals and a No. 19 national ranking by USA Today ... He was a Street & Smith’s High Honorable Mention All-America pick and an all-metro Phoenix selection ... He earned MVP honors at the Arizona Preps Fall Showcase and attended the Nike All-America camp ...
