WALNUT CREEK, Calif. ?- Arizona senior outfielder Autumn Champion was named to the Pacific-10 Conference All-Academic second team on Thursday.

The elementary education major from Tustin, Calif., is on pace to graduate in the spring of 2007.  Champion, who has started 54 of Arizona’s 56 games this season, boasts a 3.41 cumulative grade point average.

Champion and her fellow Wildcats look for their 18th trip to the Women’s College World Series in the lat 19 years, and can make that happen by winning two out of three games against LSU this weekend.
