USA Softball announced Tuesday the 22 athletes selected for its National Training Team. UA senior Lovie Jung and junior Mackenzie Vandergeest are among the list of players on the list. Former Wildcat players Jennie Finch, Nicole Giordano and Leah O'Brien-Amico are also players making up the 2002-2003 USA Softball National Training Team.

The National Team will train in November and January at the ARCO Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif. The group will earn an automatic invitation back to the Pan Am tryout camp in June 2003.

USA Softball will be going for its fifth consecutive Pan Am gold medal at the 2003 Pan Am Games in August in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Last week, freshman pitcher Alicia Hollowell was among the 31 athletes selected to the Junior Women's National Team.

Arizona will host the Arizona Fall Classic at Rita Hillenbrand Stadium from October 11-13.
