The day started on a somewhat low note when, in the first round, Steinberg fell to Stanford's Carolyn McVeigh 6-4, 2-6, 6-1, and Landsman lost to Stanford's Veronica Li 6-3, 5-7, 6-4.
Marks moved on to the second round with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Arizona State's Kelcy McKenna.
In the second round, the Nottingham, England native defeated Washington's Samantha Smith 6-2, 6-3,
"Natasha is in the quarter finals of the Pac-10 tournament," Said head coach Vicky Maes, "That puts her in some very elite company. Beating the first seed (McKenna) with a really decisive score is a great testament to Natasha's ability."
In the quarterfinals, Marks will take on California's Bojana Bobusic Friday at noon.
In the Invitational Singles, junior Ariane Masschelein had a bye for the first round before losing to USC's Cristala Andrews 7-5, 6-3.
Joining Masschelein in the second round, junior Claire Rietsch defeated Washington State's Jessica Gomez 6-3, 6-2 before losing to California's Stephany Chang 6-4, 6-1.
The doubles matches will commence Friday, with Landsman and Steinberg going up against UCLA's Carling Seguso and Stephanie Wetmore, while Marks and Rietsch take on Arizona State's Laila and Nadia Abdala.
In the Invitational Doubles, Masschelein and Huh have a first round bye and will take on the winner of the Washington/Washington State match.
