TUCSON, Ariz. - The University of Arizona men's golf team travels to San Antonio, Texas, to participate in the Lone Star Invitational at Briggs Ranch, Oct. 16-18.
The Wildcats are part of a 15-team field that includes Baylor, Houston, New Mexico, North Texas, Rice, Sam Houston State, Southern Mississippi, Stephen F. Austin Texas A&M, Texas State, Texas-Arlington, UTEP, Weber State and host Texas-San Antonio.
Hernandez, UA leading golfer through two events, has a 71.33 scoring average and a pair of top-10 finishes to his credit in six rounds played.
The 54-hole Lone Star Invitational at Briggs Ranch features 18 holes each day, beginning Sunday at 11 a.m. CDT. Tee times off holes one and 10 are scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Monday and 8 a.m. on Tuesday. The event will be contested at Briggs Ranch Golf Club, a par-72, 7,258-yard layout.
This is Arizona's first appearance in this third-annual event.
