TUCSON, Ariz. – University of Arizona men's swimmer Jack Brown was named to the 2010 ESPN The Magazine CoSIDA Academic All-District at-large first team today.

Brown, a senior from Atlanta, Ga., graduated last weekend with a GPA of 3.57 while studying psychology.  In the pool, he earned 10 All-America honors for Arizona throughout his career, was a Pac-10 All-Academic First Team member for three years and holds the UA school record in the 400 individual medley. To be nominated for the award, a student-athlete must have at least a cumulative GPA of 3.3 and be a sophomore academically.

Brown will now advance onto CoSIDA’s next selection process in becoming an Academic All-American.
