Arizona 2004

Season: Went 10-0 with a 4.66 ERA and 77 strikeouts in 92 2/3 innings pitched ... Became just the third pitcher in school history with 10 or more decisions to go undefeated for an entire season and the first since Don Lee went 15-0 in 1956 ... College World Series: Picked up his team-leading 10th win of the season in Arizona’s 7-2 victory over Arkansas ... Gave up just two runs on five hits in 6 1/3 innings in helping to eliminate the Razorbacks ... Long Beach Super Regional: Did not earn a decision in the decisive game three against the 49ers, but pitched well enough to put Arizona in position for a trip to Omaha on Nick Hundley’s sac fly in the 11th inning ... Gave up three runs on nine hits in 8 1/3 innings while striking out eight and walking two ... South Bend Regional: Won his ninth game of the year over Notre Dame in the regional final game ... UCLA (April 8-10): After  making seven appearances out of the bullpen to start the year, made his first start of the season and helped the Wildcats avoid a series sweep to the Bruins ... Summer 2003

Pitched in the Cape Cod League for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox ... Went 1-0 with a 1.93 ERA, two saves and 25 strikeouts against just six walks in 23 1/3 innings pitched.

Oregon State (May17-19): Gave up two runs on two hits in 2/3 inning in Monday’s 13-12 loss ... Cal (May 2-4): Worked a perfect ninth inning in Arizona’s 9-5 win in the series opener ... Graduated from Taylor High School in Katy, Texas, where he earned three varsity letters for coach Melvin Cerny ... Was named to the 2002 all-state team ... Led the Houston area in strikeouts per inning in 2002 ... Tossed a school record three no-hitters during his career, including a 20-strikeout no-no against Mayde Creek HS his senior year ..
