TUCSON, Ariz.- Junior outfielder Trevor Crowe picked up his second preseason All-America recognition for the upcoming 2005 season when Baseball America named him to its second-team squad. He had previously been named second-team as well by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association late in 2004.

A converted infielder, Crowe helped lead Arizona to the 2004 College World Series with a team-best .350 batting average, 53 runs scored, 13 doubles, five home runs and 33 RBIs. After getting caught on his first stolen base attempt of the season, he went on to finish the year with 26 straight successful steals to lead the Pacific-10 Conference.

The Wildcats will begin preseason practices on January 12 before opening the 2005 regular season on Feb. 4 against New Mexico at Jerry Kindall Field at Frank Sancet Stadium.
