STARKVILLE , Miss. ?C?Former Arizona four-time All-American center fielder Caitlin Lowe was named a 2007 NFCA Golden Shoe Award winner, which is presented annually to the nationˇ?s top base runners.
The Tustin, Calif., native is just the second four-time, first-team NFCA All-American in UA history and set a number of stolen base records throughout 2007, as well as her career.
Lowe holds the UA career record for stolen bases with 156, which is good for second best in Pac-10 history and the 11th?most in the NCAAˇ?s annals.?
In 2007, Lowe swiped 49 bases in 50 attempts, and at one point had stolen 54 consecutive bases, dating back to 2006.? That mark is sixth-most in NCAA history, which is the same place in the record book as her .945 career stolen base percentage.
