Wildcats in Fourth Place at Stanford Intercollegiate - UA's Gomric tied for individual lead

STANFORD, Calif. - The second ranked University of Arizona women's golf team is in fourth place after day one at the Stanford/Pepsi Women's Intercollegiate tournament with a team score of 10-over-par 298. The tournament is being held at the Stanford Golf Course(Par 72, 6,154 yards).

Senior Jill Gomric is tied for first place with San Jose States Jessica Krantz after each scored a 2-under-par 70. UA junior Jenna Daniels shot a 1-over-par 73 and is tied for seventh place, sophomore Cristina Baena is tied for 46th place, scoring a 5-over-par 77. Freshman Julia Kraschinski and junior Christina Monteiro round out the UA lineup shooting 6-over-par 78 tying them for 57th place.

Pepperdine leads the team race followed by Tulsa and California who are tied for second place.

Day two of the three-day, tournament is tomorrow with an 8 a.m. start and 18 holes of play.
