Sept. 18, 2001
Tucson, Ariz. (Sept. 18) - The University of Arizona women's soccer team has added two games to its 2001 schedule, announced head coach Cathy Klein on Tuesday.
During the first weekend of October, which was originally an open weekend for the team, the Wildcats will travel to Colorado for a pair of non-conference matches. Arizona will play at Denver on Friday, Oct. 5, at 3 p.m. MDT, then the Cats will play at Air Force on Sunday, Oct. 7, at 12 p.m. MDT. The addition of these games creates a six-game road swing for the Wildcats midway through the season.
These dates have been scheduled to replace the West Virginia (Sept. 14) and Pittsburgh (Sept. 16) road games that were canceled after last week's terrorist attacks in the East.
