TUCSON, Ariz. - The Arizona women's soccer team heads to San Diego, Calif., this weekend for a two-game, four-team tournament hosted by the University of San Diego.
The Wildcats face the host Toreros on Friday night at 7:30 p.m at Torero Stadium. Arizona will then turn around and play Pepperdine at 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, while USD plays the fourth team, Michigan.
Arizona was idle last weekend, but San Diego defeated USC 1-0 to open with a victory and vault into the top-25 of several soccer polls, including as high as No. 22 in the NSCAA. Pepperdine (1-0) and Michigan (1-0-1) also picked up opening-weekend victories.
The Wildcats will open their home schedule next weekend beginning on Friday, Sept. 3, against Northern Arizona.
