COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. After qualifying for the NCAA Championships yesterday, junior Rafael Quintero led the Wildcats once again on day two of the Zone E Diving Championships at the Air Force Academy’s Cadet Natatorium on Friday.

After winning the 3m competition yesterday, Pickens earned a second place finish in the 1m today with a total score of 611.75, finishing just behind Haley Ishimatsu of USC. The second place finish for Pickens would have qualified her for NCAAs had she not already qualified yesterday.

On the men’s side, freshman Rafael Quintero, earned a fifth place finish in the 3m with a score of 707.00. Like Pickens, Quintero already qualified for the NCAA Championships yesterday. Meanwhile, sophomore Carter Craft finished 13th in the 3m with a score of 637.70.

The final day of the Zone E qualifier will take place tomorrow with the platform competition.
