TUCSON -Senior Margarita Ramos has advanced to the NCAA Women's Golf Championships, May 22-26, in Franklin, Tenn., hosted by Vanderbilt University. As a squad, the University of Arizona Wildcat women's golf team finished ninth at the NCAA East Regional Championships and will not advance to the NCAA Championships.

"Margarita had a very impressive final round at the regional today," head coach Laura Ianellosaid. "She shot six-under par for her final 10 holes today and was determined to qualify for the national championships. She showed confidence and poise all week and is a true Arizona Wildcat success story. It's sad that her teammates will not be joining her in Nashville but she will represent them well."
