2004-05 Season : Achieved honorable mention All-American status in the 1 and 3-meter diving events...  Finished 10th on the 1-meter and 11th on the 3-meter at the NCAA championships... Was named second team All Pac-10 Academic with a 3.08 GPA...  At the Zone ?'E’ Diving Championships, finished second in both the 1-meter competition (654.00 points) and in the 3-meter event with 552.65 points... At the 2005 Pac-10 Championships, was fourth in the 3-meter board with 525.60 points... Won the 3-meter competition with 368.47 points against ASU and finished second on the 1-meter (353.10 points)... Against SMU and Texas, finished first on both the 3 and 1-meter boards, which was the fourth consecutive time winning on both boards... Against Stanford and California, won both spring board events...  Against Northwestern and Washington, placed first in both the 1 and 3-meter events... Against Wisconsin, won the 1-meter (316.42 points) and the 3-meter competitions (306.30 points)...

 

 

2003-04 Season: All-Pac-10 Academic first team... Finished 15th in platform diving at the 2004 Pac-10 Championships... Against Arizona State, finished third in the 1-meter with 307.05 points and fifth in the 3-meter...Placed second in the 3-meter  (298.42 points) and sixth in the 1-meter against Texas...Was second in both the 1-meter and 3-meter competitions against Stanford...Won the 1-meter (340.50) and 3-meter (312.22) competition against Purdue and Missouri...Also won the 1 and 3-meter against USC...Finished first in the 3-meter against Wisconsin.

 

2002-03 Season:  Redshirted for the season after transferring from the University of Kentucky...

 

2001-02 Season:  Attended University of Kentucky... Dived for head swimming coach Mike Lyden... Competed in both the 1- and 3-meter events at the 2002 NCAA Zone B Championships... Competed in the all three diving events at 2002 SEC Championships... Placed eighth in the 1-meter at the Indiana University Diving Invitational... Was 11th in the 3-meter and 12th in the 1-meter at the SEC East Challenge... In dual meet action, placed fifth in the 3-meter versus South Carolina... Finished fifth in both the 1- and 3-meter against Florida... Was third in the 1-meter against Louisville... Finished third in the 1-meter and sixth in the 3-meter against Indiana...

 

National & International Competition: Eight-time gold medalist in international competition in tumbling including the 1997 IndoPacific games in South Africa...

 

Prep: Three-year letterwinner in diving at Summit Country Day School in Ft. Thomas, Ky.... Was state runner-up as a senior... Team captain his senior year... Competed for the Cincinnati (Ohio) Stingrays club team... Was ninth at Senior Nationals on the 1-meter...

 

Personal: Born John Collier on March 7, 1983, in Cincinnati, Ohio... Son of Robert and Linda Collier... Has a younger sister, Crystin... Majoring in marketing.
