Zone E NCAA Qualifiers Get Acrobat Reader

AUSTIN, Texas – University of Arizona diver Ben Grado punched his third consecutive ticket to the NCAA Championships as he placed among seven divers in the Zone E Trials this weekend.

 

After placing second in the 1-meter and third in the 3-meter, Grado was virtually assured of a spot among the top seven and only competed in the prelims of the platform event.  He placed 20th on the platform heights with a score of 198.10.

 

Among other UA divers, Andres Guerra was particularly strong on the platform, placing seventh overall with a score of 623.30.  Matt McCahill was 19th in prelims with a score of 202.05.  For the women, Ainsley Oliver was 13th in prelims with a score of 197.95.

 

With the addition of Grado to the NCAA roster, the No. 1- ranked Cats will take the maximum number of competitors to Columbus, Ohio.
