Tucson , Ariz. ?C Arizona ended the game on a 29-10 scoring run and sophomore Rheya Neabors scored a career-high 15 points to lead the Wildcats to a 75-54 win over Northern Arizona on Thursday night in McKale Center.? The win improves Arizona to 3-4 while the Lumberjacks fall to 4-5.

As a team, Arizona shot 45.2 percent (28-62) from the field and held NAU to a 37 percent (20-54) mark.? The Wildcats outrebounded the Lumberjacks 42-33, but only shot 26.7 percent (8-30) from three point range and 55 percent (11-20) from the free throw line.? Arizona also tallied 14 steals on 25 NAU turnovers.

Neabors scored her career-best 15 points on 5-of-10 shooting from three-point range to go with eight rebounds.? Senior Ashley Whisonant tallied 13 points and eight assists, and junior Amina Njonkou posted 12 points, six rebounds and five steals.

Sophomore Levyna Ben led NAU with 18 points.

Arizona started the game strong, racing out to a 12-3 lead at the 14:36 mark.? The Wildcats led 34-21 with 2:46 left in the first half, but NAU ended the half on an 8-0 scoring run to cut the deficit to 34-29 going into halftime.? Arizona shot 40.6 percent (13-32) in the first half, limiting NAU to a 35.5 percent (11-31) mark.

The Lumberjacks turned the momentum in their favor at the start of the second half, using a 12-6 run in the first 6:06 to cut the Arizona lead to 42-41 on a three by Ben.? NAU trailed 46-44 after a jumper by Liana Boer at the 12:39 mark before the Wildcats went on a 10-0 run over the next 3:27 to stretch their lead to 56-44.? The Wildcats never looked back from there, cruising down the stretch to seal the win.? Arizona posted a 50 percent (15-30) mark from the field in the second half while holding the Lumberjacks to a 39.1 percent shooting (9-23).

Arizona will next travel to Long Beach, Calif., for a game at Long Beach State on Sunday, Dec. 9 at 2 p.m.
