2004-05 Season: At the 2005 Pac-10 Championships, finished 10th in the 200 backstroke (1:47.64) and 21st in the 200 IM (1:50.33)... Against ASU, finished third in the 100 backstroke (51.56) and also in the 200 backstroke... Placed seventh in the 100 backstroke against SMU and Texas... Finished fourth in the 200 backstroke against Stanford (1:49.22)... Against California, finished fourth in the 400 IM and in the 200 backstroke... Took second place in the 200 backstroke against the University of British Colombia (1:52.43) and finished fourth in the 100 backstroke (52.92)... Finished 18th in both the 400 IM and 100 backstroke at the Texas Invitational ...  Also, placed 15th In the 200 IM (1:51.87)...Against USC, finished sixth in the 200 backstroke... Finished third in the 100 and 200 backstroke and in the 400 IM against Wisconsin

 

2003-04 Season: Finished 10th in the 200 backstroke (1:47.41) and 14th in the 400 IM (3:55.75) at the 2004 Pac- 10 Championships... Was third in the 100 and 200-meter backstroke against Arizona State... Finished fourth in the 100 backstroke (52.60) against Texas... Placed second in the 200 backstroke (1:51.16) and third in the 100 backstroke against Stanford... Was fifth in the 800 freestyle against California... Against USC, finished third in the 200- (LC) meter backstroke and fourth in the 200 IM.

 

 

National & International Competition ?- 2003:  Won both the 400 IM and the 200 backstroke and was runner-up in the 200 IM at summer 2003 sectionals in South Lake, Texas... Was second in the 400 IM at the 2003 Seattle Sectionals... Also placed in the top eight in all six events entered at that meet... 2002:  Colorado Swimming Male Swimmer of the Year... Was second in the 200 backstroke, second in the 400 IM, third in the 200 IM and ninth in the 100 backstroke at Spring Sectionals in Seattle, Wash. ...Also competed in Summer Nationals in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. ... 2001:  Competed in Spring Sectionals in Scottsdale, Ariz., and Summer Sectionals in Tempe, Ariz. ... 2000:  Competed in Spring Junior Nationals in Anchorage, Alaska, and Summer Junior Nationals in San Antonio, Texas.

 

Prep: Lettered all four years in swimming for coach Anthony Boettcher at Evergreen (Colo.) High School... Most Valuable Athlete all four years... Team captain as a senior... 2003 NISCAA Prep Swimmer of the Year... 2003 Colorado 4A Swimmer of the Year... Seven-time NISCAA All-American... Four-time All-Colorado and All-Jefferson County League selection... Helped Evergreen win four straight league titles and finish in the top five at the state championships all four years... Three-time selection to the CHSAA State Academic Team... Set Jefferson County records in four different events and set school marks in the 100 back and 200 IM... Named to the Evergreen High School Hall of Fame... As a senior, was state champion in the 100 backstroke and the 200 IM... Competed for the Evergreen Hurricanes club team out of Evergreen, Colo.
