????????????STILLWATER, Okla. ?C?Itˇ?s starting to become Groundhogˇ?s Day for the Arizona baseball team. The Wildcats committed a season-high five errors, including three that led to three unearned runs in the fourth inning alone, to help Oklahoma State cruise to a 10-2 victory at Reynolds Stadium on Tuesday.

?

The five defensive miscues raised Arizonaˇ?s season total to 39 for the year while UAˇ?s third straight loss dropped the Cats to 13-6 for the year. The Cowboys improved to 16-6 with their third straight win over a ranked opponent.

?

After getting shut out by USC in back-to-back games last weekend, the Wildcats finally closed out a 20 1/3 scoreless inning streak with a sacrifice fly in the top of the second for a 1-0 edge, but from there on it was all OSU and the porous Wildcat defense.

?

The Cowboys answered UAˇ?s run in the second with one of their own in the bottom of the frame on a leadoff double and back-to-back ground outs to tie the game.

?

In the fourth, OSU got the ball rolling on a leadoff walk to Matt Hauge followed by a single by Rebel Ridling to put runners on first and second with no outs. OSUˇ?s Donnie Webb tried to give himself up on a sacrifice, but UA starter Mike Colla overthrew first baseman C.J. Zielger for the first error.

?

The misguided throw allowed Hauge and Ridling and Webb to advance to second and third. Colla followed a strikeout of Dean Green with an intentionally walk to Neil Medchill to load the bases with one down.

?

OSU catcher Luis Flores made the Cats pay with a two-run single to left that was misplayed by Diallo Fon for the second error allowing Medchill to advance to third.

?

With runners on the corners and still only one out, UA second baseman Mike Weldon let a potential inning-ending double play ball to slide right under his glove and into the outfield for the third error of the frame.

?

The final inning-extending miscue allowed one more run to score on a ground out one hitter later to make its 6-1 OSU. Finally tally for the frame ?C five runs on three OSU hits and three UA errors.

?

The Cowboys tacked on single runs in the fifth and seventh, including one on a throwing error in the seventh, and put the game away for good with two runs on three hits in the eighth.

?

?

Catcher Daniel Butler was bright spot for the Cats, finishing 2-for-3 in the loss.

?

The Wildcats will attempt to end their season-high three-game skid on Wednesday against the Cowboys at 6:30 p.m. CDT. Right-hander Ryan Perry is the scheduled starter for the Wildcats.
