University of Arizona football players Adam Grant, D'Aundre Reed, Ricky Elmore and Brooks Reed have been invited to the NFL Combine later this month in Indianapolis.

Grant, an offensive tackle who played in the East-West Shrine Game with defensive end Elmore, will join defensive ends Brooks Reed, who participated in the Senior Bowl, and D'Aundre Reed at the event Feb. 23 to March 1 at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Coaches, scouts, executives and doctors from all 32 NFL teams are on the hand for the extensive job interviews to help teams formulate priorities for the NFL Draft later this spring.

Among other physical observations and workouts, more than 300 college prospects are slated to go through some measureable drills -- the 40-yard dash, vertical jump, broad jump, 3-cone drill and a shuttle run -- to help quantify some skills. Other interview aspects gauge emotional and intellectual readiness for the rigors of an NFL career.

Those four Cats have been mentioned as probable or possible draftees, with several other Wildcats expected to earn free agent workouts following the draft. Among those are running back Nic Grigsby and center Colin Baxter. Baxter could have to wait until full recovery from December knee surgery.
