SOMERS, Wis.--Arizona senior Albert Subarits was named?Collegiate Swimmer of the Week (NCSW) by collegeswimming.com after his performances last weekend at the Texas Invitational.
The honor is selected for male and female swimmers for?three NCAA divisions?by a panel of collegiate coaches,?nominated by coaches, sports information directors, conference representatives and CollegeSwimming.com staffers.
In the third and final day of the Texas Invitational the No. 2 Arizona menˇ?s swimming team finished in second place with 610.5 points.? On the first day?Subirats swam a 46.21 in the 100 butterfly, good enough to automatically qualify for the NCAAˇ?s. A senior from Valencia, Venezuela, he?posted an automatic qualifying time in the 100 backstroke (45.91) as well. On the final day he turned in another automatic qualifying time in the 200 backstoke (1:43.21) and 200 breaststroke (1:56.81).
