TUCSON, Ariz. - Arizona women's golfer Erica Blasberg is listed as the top women's golfer in Golfweek's preseason individual rankings.
Blasberg, the sophomore from Corona, Calif., led the Wildcats with a 72.37 stroke average as a freshman in 2002-03. She competed in this summer's U.S. Women's Amateur, where she advanced to the quarterfinal round. Blasberg also earned preseason first-team All-America accolades as announced by Golfweek.
Joining Blasberg in the preseason rankings is sophomore Cassandra Kirkland, who is listed at No. 51 after shooting a 73.76 last season. Junior Miriam Kraschinski, who posted a stroke average of 75.01 last season, landed at No. 110 in the preseason rankings.
