DaLee Leads Arizona to 3rd-Straight Win in Tempe

TEMPE-Junior middle blocker and Phoenix native Marisa DaLee hit .481 and led all players in both kills (16) and blocks (11) as No. 19 Arizona defeated Arizona State in Tempe for the third consecutive year, 15-11, 15-5, 8-15, 15-5, Saturday night.

The Cats improved to 13-8 and moved into fourth place in the Pac-10 at 7-5. ASU fell to 10-9 and 6-6.

Arizona, which won just one of its first 11 Pac-10 contests in Tempe, has now won three straight road matches in the series.

Sophomore setter Dana Burkholder posted 49 assists and 12 digs, while freshman defensive specialist Rachel Williams added a match-best 14 digs.

The Sun Devils were led by junior outside hitter Amanda Burbridge's 13 kills and 11 digs.

Arizona returns to actioin Friday, Nov. 5, when the Cats travel to Seattle to take on Washington at 7 p.m. PST.
