Kicker Nick Folk Receiver Syndric Steptoe Safety Michael Johnson
Steptoe, a wide receiver from Bryan, Texas, will play Sunday in the Cornerstone Bancard Hula Bowl in Honolulu, Hawai'i, safety Johnson of Austin, Texas, plays at the Dell East-West Shrine Game in Houston Jan. 20, and kicker Folk of Sherman Oaks, Calif., puts foot to the ball at the Under Armour Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., on Jan. 27.
Folk led the Pac-10 in punting the past two years but was an all-everything player who performed place kicks and kicked off the for the Cats as well. He earned first-team All-Pac-10 honors and was a third-team All-America selection by Rivals.com. Steptoe also was a first-team all-league selection and honorable mention All-America pick by SI.com. Johnson earned second-team all-league honors in 2006.
Folk and Steptoe were four-year lettermen for the Cats while Johnson contributed two solid seasons after transferring following an All-American junior college career.
Johnson earned national player of the week honors in 2005 after his three-interception game helped UA win on the road at Oregon State. Folk was a two-time Pac-10 player of the week this year including his outing at Oregon where he kicked three field goals, scored 13 points and punted for a 40-yard average including two mishandled punts UA turned into points. Steptoe had many big games during his four years as one of the top perimeter threats and was picked for the all-league team in 2006 as a return specialist.
