Arizona This Year: Schultz has improved steadily and will find a spot in the lineup again this year, either at second or first base.

 

2005: Started the final two games of the regular season at third base after starting 40 at second ... Two-for-four with two RBI in an April 23 win over Arizona State ... Had a double and three RBI in her first Pac-10 multi-hit game of the year in a win over Oregon ... Went three-for-four with two runs scored in a March 27 victory at Louisiana-Lafayette ... Had three hits in a victory over Oklahoma ... Went three-for-six in a doubleheader sweep over Hawai'i.

 

2004: Started 52 games for Arizona, mostly at first base, with nine starts at second and eight as the designated player... Hit .264 on the season, with 37 hits and 24 runs scored... Good power and run production were a bonus, as she drove in 34 runs and knocked eight out of the park... Had a .507 slugging percentage and went a perfect five-for-five in stolen bases... Second on the team in putouts with 125... Had 15 assists and maintained a .979 fielding percentage... Earned an honorable mention nod on the All-Pac-10 team... Was named Pac-10 Player of the Week for April 13.

 

2003: Started 48 games for the Cats in her freshman year... Batted .270, scoring 17 runs on 34 hits... Drove in 16 and hit one home run on the year versus Mississippi State on Feb. 10... Had an outstanding defensive year, recording the second-best fielding percentage of the team at .992... Had second-most putouts on the team with 232... Made one pitching appearance in relief versus Washington on May 10... Had a game ERA of 3.00 and earned the win in Arizona’s 21-17 victory.

 

High School: Greenway High School, Phoenix, Ariz., 2002... Earned four letters in softball... Gatorade Player of the Year 2002... Arizona Player of the Year 2002... Four-time first-team All-conference player... First-team all-state selection her senior year... NW Valley Player of the Year 2001 and 2002... Holds Greenway High School’s single-season hit record of 48.
