TUCSON, Ariz. - On the heels of a conference championship and a run to the NCAA Tournament's Elite Eight, interest is very high for the men's basketball program's annual Red-Blue Game.
With a little more than a week remaining until the Oct. 22 intrasquad scrimmage, more than 8,000 tickets already have been sold. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. PDT.
In addition to the game itself, former Wildcat standouts Derrick Williams and Chase Budinger will be inducted into the McKale Center Ring of Honor. Other former Arizona basketball alumni scheduled to be in attendance include Joseph Blair. Channing Frye, Andre Iguodala, Richard Jefferson and Corey Williams.
Tickets can be purchased on-line at www.arizonawildcats.com, in person at the McKale Center Ticket Office or by calling (520) 621-CATS. Prices start at $7 for adults and $4 for youth purchased in advance and $10 and $5 on the day of the game. Parking is free in the Cherry Avenue garage, surrounding surface lots and all non-reserved, non-handicapped spaces on campus.
Additionally, fans who purchase tickets to the UCLA football game on Thursday, Oct. 20, can add Red-Blue Game tickets for only $3 each. This offer is only available in advance when purchasing UCLA football game tickets.
