Women's Tennis Finishes Second Day at Pac-10 Championships

OJAI, Calif. - Arizona had similar results in day two of the Pac-10 Championships. Both Wildcat pairs were knocked out of doubles competition and Natalia Toporowska fell in the quarterfinals of the singles invitational draw.

In the doubles championship draw, Juliette Mavroleon and Danielle Steinberg fell in the round of 16. The Wildcat duo was taken down by Stanford's Celia Durkin and Jessica Nguyen, 8-5.

In the doubles invitational draw, Toporowska and Katie Orletsky advanced past the round of 16 with their 8-2 win over Oregon's Anna Powaska and Monica Hoz. In the quarterfinals, the pair withdrew from their match.

Orletsky won her match in the singles back draw 6-1, 6-3 over Washington's Allison Rainey.

The Wildcats will not wait to hear if they are selected for the NCAA tournament.
