Arizona Head Coach Sean Miller

"It's important to recognize the crowd, and how great they were tonight. I really have to thank the student section. They're a great crowd, and they really impact the game. When we go on a run, it's very hard for the other team to get back into it."

"This was a quality win against a very good team. UCLA is very hard to guard, with their balance and size, and they fought hard every step of the way. Three-point defense was big in the win tonight. We held them to two for fifteen. I think that we might have the best three-point defense percentage in the country at this rate, and I hope we can continue that going into Saturday's game."

"UCLA's nineteen turnovers were big. It's hard to win at home with that number of turnovers, and it's even harder to overcome that on the road. We had seventeen turnovers tonight, and it's going to cause us a lot of problems in the future if we don't work to correct that now."

"For the most part, we played well on offense, but it can be frustrating at times with these turnovers. A lot of them were self-inflicted. Our offense relies a lot on ball movement, but if one guy puts the ball on the floor, or someone is out of place, then we're going to lose it. We have to do this as a team, to get the ball from one side to the next, and when we do that, we are better. When we don't we're not."

"We defended Reeves Nelson a lot better in the second half. There was a better crowd around him. He has the ability to have a big night very easily, like a lot of the other UCLA players. At any given night, they can have five or six guys playing very well. We kept Nelson from getting a lot of good looks in the second half, and that really helped us in the win."

"Our finish was a little disappointing. We have to learn to be more careful in the end. We don't need to heave a fourteen foot pass up the court when we are up by fifteen and risk losing the ball. At that point, we just have to run the clock out and slow down our pace. The guys just need to be a little more mature, but overall it was a great night in Tucson."

On No. 50 Alex Jacobson's return "He made a couple huge plays tonight, and that is exactly what we want from the bench. It was really great to see him come back and really contribute. He has a big role, and no one on the team questions Alex's work ethic. I think it's great for both him, and the team, to see all his hard work pay off."

"We are going to handle USC similar to how we handled UCLA. They are very good on defense, and their point guard is someone I've coached against when I was in the Atlantic 10. USC also shoots well from three, so they will be a very big challenge for us. We just have to go in and use our home court to our advantage."

Arizona Player Quotes

Lamont Jones

On the crowd:
"Yeah, that's what happens when you come and you play and you gain people's respect. It happens at Duke, it happens at Syracuse, and it's supposed to be like that here."

Kyle Fogg

On making the four free throws followng the technical:
"I feel like we were ready to have a run anyway, but I think that was a big part in the game. It got the crowd into it, too."

On the game being on ESPN:
"It definitely felt like a big game, being on ESPN, going for second place in the Pac-10. We knew what we had to do and we came out and executed really well. It feels good to get the win. We are trying to win every home game."

On MoMo Jones:
"Mo is a high energy guy. In practice we see him score all the time and we know he can go off like that on any given night. He just has to be aggressive like he was tonight. It really helps take pressure off of Derrick. Mo and Jesse stepped up. Mo did a great job tonight."

On Alex Jacobson:
"Tree was another big turnaround in the game. It got the crowd into it. He got some key stops on a really good big guy, Josh Smith, who we didn't have an answer for earlier in the game. He works so hard in practice and it's nice to see him getting some minutes and contributing for us. He does a lot of the little things. He's all about the team. He doesn't care about scoring points. He comes in and knows his role. He's the ultimate team guy. He just cares about getting the win and I think he's going to see his minutes increase."

Jesse Perry

On the game:
"I thought it was a real big game especially for me playing against my former teammate Lazeric Jones. We always talked about playing with each other or playing against each other. I think it was a real good game and it was kind of a rivalry for us."
