TUCSON--Game tickets to Wednesday's men's basketball exhibition game against Victoria go on sale at 2 p.m. Tuesday to the general public.
Tickets for general admission seats in the McKale Center student section are available for $18 per ticket. The last-minute ticket availability comes from undersold Zona Zoo section seating, said assistant athletics director James Francis.
Student "Zona Zoo" membership affords those members of the student body to purchase student-section seats on a first-come, first-served basis. Any remaining tickets after the student demand is met will go on sale to the general public in the days before each game.
Student leaders asked for a process that would allow the most interested students to always have a chance at seats, rather than a preseason lottery seasont-ticket system as in the past, and the result may well afford the general public a continuing opportunity to get into McKale Center for the hard-to-get men's basketball game seats if the student allotment is not sold in advance.
Available seating for Wednesday's 7:30 p.m. game and all others under this type of opportunity is in the upper level on the south end of the arena, and the tickets on sale are all for general admission unassigned seats. All McKale Center arena seats are chair-backed.
Individual game tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a limit of two tickets per phone call and two tickets per person in line in order to accommodate as many Wildcat fans as possible. Tickets can be purchased online, in person at the McKale Ticket Office, or by calling (520) 621-2287 Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Online sales will end two hours prior to tip off.
