TUCSON-- - Leneah Manuma drove in five runs and pitcher Jenny Finch held Alabama at bay with four hits to lead Arizona to an 11-1 softball victory over the No. 13 Crimson Tide.

For the third consecutive game, Alabama took a lead in the first inning. Jackie McClain hit her second home run of the season, and second off UA pitcher Jennie Finch, to put the Crimson Tide on the scoreboard, but it was the Tide's last run of the game.

Just as quickly the Cats answered. Lovie Jung led off with a double and moved to second on Courtney Fossatti's sacrifice, Mackenzie Vandergeest walked and Leneah Manuma homered off a screen covering a window 30 feet up the wall of Gittings Gym 230 feet from home plate.

The Cats made it 4-1 on an RBI single by Vandergeest in the second. In the third, UA batted around and blew the game open with seven runs. Finch and Crystal Farley singled, then Jackie Coburn hit her first career home run to make it 7-1. A single, three walks and a wild pitch by Alabama's Jennifer Wright brought in another run, Manuma hit a two-run single andFinch drove in a run with a ground ball,

Finch scattered four hits and struck out four to improve to 2-0. Alabama's Wright lost in her first collegiate appearance.

Top-ranked Arizona (3-0) returns to action Friday in the Fiesta Bowl Tournament in Phoenix with games against Southwest Texas and Texas at Rose Mofford Sports Complex. Alabama (0-3) plays host to its 'Bama Bash Tournament in Tuscaloosa Friday through Sunday.
