Pier-Alexandre Drouin, a native of St. Georges de Beauce, Quebec, enters his second year as the manager for the women's tennis team. Drouin's responsibilities with the team include maintaining the courts, stringing the team's racquets, writing scouting reports, helping with visiting recruits, and filming practices/matches.
Drouin looks forward to the 2004 season, and expects the Wildcat tennis team to achieve great success. "We finished last season pretty strong by beating Cal and ASU and that showed the girls that they are as good as any team in the nation" he said. "This year, we have three new girls on the team and five excellent returning players. I feel like we are going to have an exciting season once again."
Drouin, a sophomore majoring in finance and accounting at Arizona, is thrilled to be a member of the Arizona women's tennis program.
"Arizona has one of the greatest programs in the nation. [Head coach] Vicky Maes and [assistant coach] Peter Danolic are going to put a lot of time and effort to bring the team to its greatest potential" he said.
