TUCSON, Ariz. ?- The NCAA women’s basketball Tournament will make a stop in Tucson as the first and second rounds at the McKale Memorial Center will feature reigning national champion Baylor, along with instate teams Arizona State and Northern Arizona.
Eight teams will descend upon McKale Center this week when March Madness begins.
From the Albuquerque Regional, the No. 5-seed Utah Utes will play No. 12-seeded Middle Tennessee State. Also taking the hardwood are No. 4 Arizona State vs. No. 13 Stephen F. Austin.
Arizona will be hosting four other teams that will funnel into the Albuquerque Regional. No. 6 Florida will square off against the No. 11-seeded New Mexico Lobos. Joining them are the No. 3-seeded Baylor Bears and their opponent, the No. 14-seeded Northern Arizona Lumberjacks.
