INDIANAPOLIS - The Arizona men's basketball Midwest Regional opener against Louisville will tip off at 7:07 p.m. Friday, March 27 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis (4:07 p.m. Tucson time).
The Wildcats (21-13) faces off against the Cardinals (30-5) after taking a pair of games Friday and Sunday in Miami against Utah and Cleveland State to earn the program's 13th Sweet 16 appearance.
Arizona is the lone Pacific-10 Conference team left in the field after opening weekend play saw California lose in the first round, while UCLA, Arizona State, Washington and Southern California dropped their second-round games.
The Cats, the No. 12 seed in the Midwest, beat No. 5 Utah and No. 13 CSU but now face the top seed in the region. The other top seeds, No. 2 Michigan State and No. 3 Kansas, face off after the UA-Louisville game.
Arizona has played in Indianapolis in previous NCAA action, winning the national semifinal against North Carolina and the NCAA Championship game over Kentucky at the 1997 Final Four at the since demolished RCA Dome. Lucas Oil Stadium is on the same approximate site and plays host to its first NCAA championship action this week.
