TUCSON, Ariz. ?- The University of Arizona’s men’s golf team stands in ninth place after Monday’s first round of the Big Ten/Pac-10 Challenge at Bandon Dunes Golf Course in Bandon, Ore.

Battling heavy rains, Arizona shot a 19-over-par 307 and stands in ninth place.  The Wildcats are 16 strokes behind tournament-leader UCLA, who carded a three-over 291.  Arizona State (296), USC and Northwestern (298), and Washington (301) rounded out the top-five places in the field of 14.
