KENNESAW, GA--Former Arizona Wildcat and soccer team captain Analisa Marquez signed with the Atlanta Beat of Women's Professional Soccer, the team announced today.

Marquez came into camp with Atlanta on a trial basis after leaving the Western New York (WNY) Flash, and was signed after training with the club for four days.

In her first appearance with the Beat, the former Wildcats forward/defended played in all 90 minutes of the March 27 preseason match against the University of Florida, and recorded an assist in the 2-0 victory.

At Arizona, Marquez recorded five goals and an assist in her four-year career (2006-09). In 2008 she was named to the Pac-10 Academic Honorable Mention list, and was Co-MVP and Co-Defensive MVP in 2009.
