Head coach David Rubio and the Arizona Volleyball team (19-11, 11-10) will close out the regular season with a rematch of their in-state rival Arizona State (8-22, 4-17) in Tempe, Ariz. on Saturday, Nov. 26.
On Tuesday, Nov. 22, the Sun Devils traveled to Tucson for the teams’ first matchup and the Wildcats won, 3-1 (25-21, 25-12, 23-25, 25-13).
Freshman Madi Kingdon (Phoenix, Ariz.) leads the team in kills with 332, but seniors Courtney Karst (Centennial, Colo.) and Cursty Jackson (Los Angeles, Calif.) are not far behind with 330 and 311, respectively. Jackson leads in hitting percentage at .311 and also leads in blocks with 96.
Ashley Kastl leads the Sun Devils in kills at 3.79 per set, Shannan McCready leads in assists with 10.80 per set and Stephanie Preach leads in digs with 5.12 per set.
The Wildcats will wait to hear their fate for the rest of the season during the NCAA Tournament selection show on Sunday, Nov. 27.
