Arizona Head Coach Sean Miller
"The Pac-10 is a very difficult conference to play in, and winning or losing definitely affects how you go into the next game. A win really helps, going into the next game each weekend. Our two losses to USC and Washington State were really tough, and I give credit to the players and our staff for responding well going forward. We've been doing really well at playing a good second game, and now we just have to get that to the first."
"Washington has a great transition game, and is the best in the conference at offensive rebounding. They're a very good team, but everyone has their bumps in the road, and I know that when we next meet them, they will be back up and running.
"We showed a lot of great leadership and togetherness tonight, and I really think that Jamelle (Horne) set the tone for us. He's had two seasons, and two off seasons, and you can really see his improvements. In the sixteen games so far, I think he's shot about 45% at threes. He's worked very hard, and it's definitely paying off.
On keeping No. 20 Quincy Pondexter to seven points
"Keeping him to seven points was really a team effort. He is an excellent player, so we put a lot of different guards on him to try to keep him off balance."
On No. 12 Lamont `MoMo' Jones and No. 3 Kevin Parrom
"MoMo is doing really well to work on his confidence, and he took a lot of really great shots tonight. When you take enough good shots, it's only a matter of time before the percentage goes up. He just has to keep working hard, like he did tonight. I really think his performance is a big reason why we played so well. Because of how we recruited, I've probably known Kevin the longest, and I think that it would be really interesting to see how he would have been at this point had he not missed any games or practices. It's not easy to get back after an injury, and I can only see him improving more and more throughout the season."
Arizona Player Quotes
Sophomore Guard Kyle Fogg
On the difference between today and Friday night vs. WSU:
"It was really all on the defensive end, our offense was pretty good on Friday, but today we were really focused on defense. We were playing against some great players like (Quincy) Pondexter and (Isiah)Thomas, and we did a really good job defensively on them and that was the difference tonight."
Junior Forward Jamelle Horne
On the hot shooting tonight:
"People were getting on me for taking those threes at the beginning of the year, but now they're going down and that's quieted that. It's huge for our team when I can knock down those shots like I did tonight."
On season best six players scoring in double figures
"This is nothing new to us. When these guys came in this summer I knew these guys could score. I kept saying versatility, versatility, versatility, and finally it's coming together with all these players scoring. They're peaking at the right time."
"Every game is a big game for us. Just ask Coach Miller."
Freshman Forward Kevin Parrom
On his defensive performance:
"I wanted to just go out there and play hard. I had to guard (Quincy) Pondexter, and I just wanted to out-work him and shut him down. I had to guard Klay Thompson Friday night. I've had a tough defensive assignment this week."
