20070508 Soccer?s Incoming Class Ranked 31st in the Nation

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><st1:City w:st="on"><b style="">TUCSON</b></st1:City><b style="">, <st1:State w:st="on">Ariz.</st1:State> - </b>The <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceType w:st="on">University</st1:PlaceType> of <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Arizona</st1:PlaceName></st1:place> women&rsquo;s soccer team will welcome the nation&rsquo;s 31<sup>st</sup>-ranked incoming class according to <i style="">Soccer Buzz</i>.<span style=""> </span>This is the second consecutive year that the class of incoming Wildcats has been in the top 35 and its fourth straight time in the top 70.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><o:p> </o:p></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"> </p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">The class also ranks 11<sup>th</sup> in the West region.<span style=""> </span>Included in this class are two players ranked in the top 75 nationally: Karina Camacho and Kristin Griffin.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><o:p> </o:p></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><o:p> </o:p></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Arizona</st1:place></st1:State>&rsquo;s recruiting success has translated to wins on the soccer field.<span style=""> </span>Since head coach <a href="/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=45370" class="ARTICLELINK">Dan Tobias</a> joined the program, the team has won a Pac-10 Championship and a berth in the Sweet 16. Tobias' recruiting classes have helped to form the foundation for the program&rsquo;s success as the three best seasons in the program&rsquo;s history are the last three seasons.</p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"> </p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><o:p> </o:p></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">The Wildcats will again face a difficult Pac-10 as four teams have recruiting classes ranked in the top 25, including UCLA at No. 1.<span style=""> </span><st1:State w:st="on">California</st1:State> (No. 5), <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:State w:st="on">Washington</st1:State></st1:place> (No. 17) and USC (No. 18) are also in the top 25.</p>
