Arizona Women's Tennis Hosts Pair of Ranked Teams

TUCSON, Ariz. -

Head coach Vicky Maes and the No. 29 Arizona women’s tennis team will host a pair of ranked teams this weekend at Robson Tennis Center. The Wildcats will face No. 71 Sacramento State on Saturday, March 3 at 11 a.m. and No. 20 Saint Mary’s on Sunday, March 4 at 11 a.m.

Saturday’s match will feature a USTA/ITA-sponsored “Campus Kids Day” at Robson, which will include prizes, treats and free posters. The event is free to the public.

Arizona is coming off a busy weekend in which it earned wins over No. 57 SMU and No. 58 Illinois and fell to No. 12 Virginia at the Blue-Gray Classic in Montgomery, Ala.

Sacramento State is riding a six-match winning streak, most recently over No. 38 Georgia State. The Hornets are led by Tatsiana Kapshai and Clarisse Baca.

Saint Mary’s is coming off of victories over Washington and San Diego State and a loss at Stanford. The Gaels are led by No. 97 Jenny Jullien and No. 112 Catherine Isip.
