The <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Arizona</st1:place></st1:State> men&rsquo;s team also participated in an intra-squad meet this afternoon that was not scored.</P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p> </o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><SPAN style="mso-tab-count: 1"> </SPAN>The Wildcats began dual-meet competition with a second-place finish in the 400 medley relay, as freshmen Caitlin Iversen, Annie Chandler, Ana Agy and junior Lacey Nymeyer finished second with a time of 3:42.17. In the 1000 free, freshman Joni Zimmerman finished second with a time of 10:09.21.</P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p> </o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><SPAN style="mso-tab-count: 1"> </SPAN>Nymeyer won three individual events beginning with the 200 free, finishing with a time of 1:47.58. In the 100 free, Nymeyer won with a time of 49.95, and later finished first in the 500 free with a time of 4:51.71.</P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p> </o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><SPAN style="mso-tab-count: 1"> </SPAN>Freshman Andrea Boritzke finished first in the 100 back with a time of 55.96, while <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Chandler</st1:place></st1:City> and junior Jacquelyn Craft finished second (1:02.14) and third (1:04.43) in the 100 breast.</P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p> </o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><SPAN style="mso-tab-count: 1"> </SPAN>Senior Whitney Myers placed third in the 200 fly with a time of 2:02.04, as sophomore Lara Jackson finished second in the 50 free and Anna Turner finished third (23.41).</P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p> </o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><SPAN style="mso-tab-count: 1"> </SPAN>Back-to-back victories were posted by the Wildcats, as Iversen won the 200 back with a time of 2:00.26 and Craft won the 200 breast as well with a time of 2:16.55. In the 100 fly, Agy finished second with a time of 55.13 and Myers finished third (56.39).</P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p> </o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><SPAN style="mso-tab-count: 1"> </SPAN>Myers posted her first individual win of the weekend in the 200 IM, finishing with a time of 2:02.84, while the 400 free relay team of Turner, Boritzke, sophomore Lindsey Kelly and sophomore Taylor Baughman ended the meet by finishing second with a time of 3:26.33.</P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p> </o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><SPAN style="mso-tab-count: 1"> </SPAN>In the diving competition that took place on Jan. 5, senior Megan Macdonald finished first in the 3-meter competition with 305.00 points, while sophomore Allison Scaife finished second (287.30). MacDonald finished second in the 1- meter (259.20) and senior Holly Kast finished third (258.60).</P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p> </o:p></P> <P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><SPAN style="mso-tab-count: 1"> </SPAN>The swimming and diving teams will continue dual-meet action on January 19-20 when they travel to <st1:City w:st="on">Austin</st1:City>, <st1:State w:st="on">Texas</st1:State>, to take on the Texas Longhorns and the SMU Mustangs at the Lee and <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Joe</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Jamail</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Texas</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Swimming</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Center</st1:PlaceType></st1:place>.
