WALNUT CREEK, Calif.- Arizona middle blocker Marisa DaLee has been named the Pacific-10 Conference Player of the Week for Sept. 12-17, Commissioner Tom Hansen announce today.

DaLee, a senior from Phoenix, Ariz., led Arizona to three victories last week, including two road wins over Top 20 opponents. She hit .468 with 47 kills (3.92 kpg) and added 17 blocks (1.42 bpg) as Arizona extended its winning streak to eight.

In Arizona's Pac-10 opener at Arizona State, DaLee hit .405 with 20 kills and six blocks, then hit .462 with 16 kills and six blocks at No. 10 BYU. She capped off a perfect week for the Wildcats by hitting .625 with 11 kills and five blocks at No. 18 Utah. DaLee has now hit .400 or better in six straight matches.

This is the third weekly honor for DaLee and Arizona's 13th Player of the Week honor all-time. Junior Teammate Dana Burkholder won the award a week ago.

In related news, the Wildcats are ranked in the USA Today/AVCA Top 10 for the second time this season. UA's three match sweep last week propelled the Wildcats up three spots. It is the second time this season the Cats have been ranked 10th.
