TUCSON, Ariz. - Cloudy and breezy conditions welcomed the Arizona football team back to the Rincon Vista Complex for the first two-a-day workout in Tucson.

After a public scrimmage on Saturday in Sierra Vista and a day off from practice on Sunday, the Wildcats strapped on full pads for the 8 a.m. workout that. The team will practice again this evening at 5:45 p.m.

Coaches limited the reps of most players and rotated players in and out of team drills in attempt to keep players fresh as the rigors of camp set in with still more than two weeks to go before the season opener. Head Coach Mike Stoops told his players after practice that it is important to keep focused on fundamentals at this point in camp, which will be the emphasis this evening as players dress only in shells.

The rotation of players on both sides of the ball did seem to freshen up the play on both sides of the ball. UA's quarterback trio of Nick Foles, Matt Scott and Bryson Beirne were sharp in 7-on-7 drills, but the defense made several key plays including a handful of pass breakups by Robert Golden.

Arizona will continue to train at the Rincon Vista Complex this week, with a single practice set for Tuesday morning, two practices on Wednesday and single sessions on Thursday and Friday. Camp will conclude on Saturday for the annual "Meet the Team" night in Arizona Stadium with regular season practices and game-specific preparation beginning on campus next week.
