Arizona Men's Tennis Player Steven Capriati Jumps into National Rankings

Tucson, Ariz. - Arizona senior Steven Capriati, previously unranked, jumped to the 55th spot in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association's rankings, released Wednesday. Capriati has an overall record of 16-7, which includes recent wins over USC's Andrew Park and UCLA's Tobias Clements. Capriati and his doubles partner, sophomore Carl Hagman, have also made their debut in the ITA doubles rankings at No. 60. Capriati and Hagman are 9-9 on the season. The Arizona's men's tennis team remained at No. 47 for the second week in a row.

Arizona's last match was a win against Loyola Marymount, 6-1, on Monday, March 4.

The Wildcats are back in action Friday, March 8 at 1:30 p.m. when they travel to the No. 2 Stanford Cardinal and Saturday, March 9 at 12:00 p.m. at the No. 10 California Golden Bears.
