BRENTWOOD, Tenn.--Arizona linebackers coach Tim Kish has been named one of the nation's top 25 college football recruiters by, repeating the honor he received at UA from Rivals in 2005.

The list signifies the 25 assistant coaches said to be the most skilled recruiters in the land. Kish was named to the 2005 group after Arizona landed a class rated as a whole in the nation's Top 20 -- which the UA staff again pulled off with its 2006 class announced last week.

The National Recruiter of the Year is Penn State assistant Larry Johnson Sr., who was responsible for PSU signing most of the top prospects in Maryland.

The organization arrived at its list by using its player ratings for prospects, which in Kish's case came out to an average of 3.8 stars (out of five) for each of the five players Arizona signed from his recruiting areas in Arizona and Northern California.

Two other former Arizona football assistants also were named to the list for their recruiting proficiency at their current positions. University of Texas wide receivers coach Bobby Kennedy, the UA running backs coach under John Mackovic in 2001, and Notre Dame University receivers coach and recruiting coordinator Rob Ianello, an assistant to Dick Tomey from 1993-2000 and Mackovic in 2001-02, also were selected.
