TUCSON, Ariz. - The game time for the North Texas at Arizona football game scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 28, has been changed to 6:07 p.m. MST/PDT, athletics department officials announced Friday.
Because the game will not be televised, school officials on both sides agreed to move it up one hour, in part because Arizona officials believe that more fans will find an earlier completion time more attractive, associate athletics director John Perrin said.
"This gives our fans a chance to get home earlier. We might look at moving most of our games to an earlier kick time in the future," Perrin said, although he did note that many game times are scheduled according to Pac-10 television contracts with ABC Sports, Fox Sports Net and Turner Broadcast Systems, the league's football broadcast partners.
The UA's television contract with Fox Sports Net Arizona does not stipulate a broadcast of each game, Perrin said, but guarantees the network a combined number of live broadcasts of both football and men's basketball games.
