Hey GymCat fans!

I am so excited to finally start the season. When you start having dreams about saluting the judges, you know its time to get back out there! We have been working so hard in the gym the past several months, and I am so proud of the heart my team has shown for the sport, and for each other.

We started off the season with two away meets. The first was the PAC 10 Showcase; it was a good glimpse as to what the end of the season will look like -- especially for the freshmen. The next weekend we were off to Utah to compete against Utah State and BYU. In both cases I was proud of the fight we put up to finish the meets; it is evident that my team has a lot of passion.

I am especially looking forward to our first home meet this Friday. Home meets are so much fun, and I am excited for the freshmen to experience their first! Personally, my favorite part is walking down to our locker room before the meet, peeking into Mckale, and seeing all of our equipment set up. Even though I’ve competed for a few years, this still gives me goose bumps every meet, and I’m excited for the freshmen to experience that for the first time.

This week we are competing against ASU and I know we are going to start fighting from the very first salute. It’s all of you fans that make home meets so special, and we are so appreciative of your support and love.  All week I have been watching the determination and fire in my teammates during practice. I know we’re going to go out there Friday night and show all of Arizona what we are made of!
