TUCSON - The University of Arizona Wildcat No. 21 men’s and No. 5 women’s track and field teams will host their second meet of the season, the Jim Click Shootout. On April 4-6, the meet will take place at Roy P. Drachman Stadium. The combined events portion of the meet will occur on Thursday and Friday. On Saturday, the running and field events will take place. The meet is set to start at 11 a.m. MST on Thursday, 10 a.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday.

Arizona will compete against Stanford (M: NR, W: 9), Ohio State (M: 24, W: NR ), Iowa (M: NR, W: NR), Texas (Men only, No. 5) and Kansas State (M: 20, W: NR).

In the USTFCCCA week one national poll, the UA men’s squad slid one spot to find themselves at No. 21 while the women dropped two spots and fell to No. 5. Four other Pac-12 schools in the national poll join the UA men’s squad. Oregon climbed two spots to No. 4, USC stayed at No. 8, UCLA did not move from the No. 12 spot and Arizona State dropped three spots to No. 18. For the women, the national poll has seven Pac-12 schools joining Arizona. Oregon stayed in second, Arizona State remained eighth, Stanford is still ninth, Washington climbed three spots to 15th, UCLA jumped up six spots to 18th, Colorado fell two spots to 24th and USC also fell two spots to land at 25th.

On the men’s side, juniors Keegan Cooke and Sean Delfani and freshman Bernard Dickerson-Quinn will run 400 meters at 2:02 p.m. Sophomores Sam Macaluso will run the 1,500-meter race at 1:25 p.m. Sophomore Lezo Urreiztieta will compete in the 110-meter hurdles at 1:45 p.m. Senior Clifton Leake is set to run the 400-meter hurdles at 2:50 p.m. The 4x100-meter will take place at 1:05 p.m. and Arizona’s quartet will consist of sophomore Thomas Moronta, Dickerson-Quinn, Leake and senior Elliot Taylor. The quartet of Leake, Dickerson Quinn, sophomore Branden Helms and Delfani will compete in the 4x400-meter relay at 3:50 p.m. Senior Edgar Rivera-Morales and freshman Jonny Giess will compete in the high jump competition at 2:30 p.m.

For the women on Saturday, junior Georganne Moline, Romero, junior Tamara Pridgett and senior Shale’ Garland will compete for Arizona at 1:55 p.m. Moline will also make her debut in the 400-meter hurdles with a start time of 2:40 p.m. Senior Jen Bergman will run the 3,000-meter race along with sophomore Clea Formaz at 3:20 p.m. Freshman Traci-Lynn Hicks is set to run the 100-meter hurdles at 1:35 p.m. The women’s 4x100-meter relay team will consist of Hicks, Romero, Pridgett and Poston. That race will commence at 12:57 p.m. The quartet of Romero, Garland, Pridgett and Moline will run at 3:42 p.m. in the 4x400-meter relay.

For the women’s field events, sophomore Shakayla McEaddy will compete in the women’s high jump at 1 p.m. Freshman Moriah Hayes is set to compete in the long jump at 12 p.m. In the women’s shot put at 2:30 p.m., Arizona will be represented by seniors Taylor Freeman and Alyssa Hasslen, juniors Julie Labonté and Omotayo Talabi and sophomore Baillie Gibson. Freeman, Hasslen, Labonté and Gibson will also throw the discus at 12:30 p.m. Freeman and Gibson will compete in the hammer throw at 9 a.m. Senior Asia Easley is set to throw the javelin at 10 a.m.
