High School: Dorsey High School, Los Angeles, 2006... Los Angeles Times 2006 first-team All-Star Southland for coach Paul Knox... PrepStar All-America... 2005 CaliFlorida Bowl participant... Rivals No. 13 OG position and four-star rating, four-star lineman... SuperPrep All-Farwest... 2004 Cal-Hi Sports all-state underclass first-team... Received votes in the Best in the West poll by the Long Beach Press-Telegram... As a junior, he had 100 pancake blocks and did not allow a sack... On defense, he saw action at defensive tackle and recorded 22 tackles, 20 of which were for losses. He also had one sack... Earned CIFLA 4A All-City honors, and first team all-league, all-conference and all-state underclass... In 2005, he had 48 tackles, 20 for losses, three fumbles caused and two sacks. His team went 10-3 on the year and played in CIF Los Angeles City Championships semi-finals, losing to eventual titlist Crenshaw...
