OPELIKA, Ala. - The Arizona women's golf team stands tied in 14th, Thursday after its third round of competition at the NCAA Championship in Opelika, Ala.

The Wildcats shot a 36-over-par 900 to trail third-round leader, UCLA by 42 strokes after the Bruins shot a 6-under-par 858. Oklahoma State (863) and Duke (865) occupied second and third, respectively. California shot a 19-over-par 883 to occupy fourth. Vanderbilt (884) rounds out the top-five.

Individually, sophomore Erica Blasberg is tied for 34th after shooting a third round 71 (-1). The native of Corona, Calif. has shot 6-over-par 222 through three rounds off the tournament.

Sophomore Cassandra Kirkland moved into 57th after carding a 9-over-par 225. In her second tournament of the season, sophomore Alejandra Martin is tied for 62nd after shooting a 10-over-par 226. Sophomore Lani Elston is tied for 93rd place after shooting 15-over-par 231. Junior Mar Garcia is tied for 99th at 17-over-par 233.

The Wildcats will tee off in Friday's final round beginning at 9:00 a.m. CST. The 2004 NCAA Championship tournament is being held at Grand National Lake Course, par 72 over 6,215 yards.
