TUCSON, Ariz. The Arizona football team completed a two-hour practice at Kindall Field/Sancet Stadium on Wednesday evening in preparation for Saturday night’s first road contest against No. 3 Oregon. Below is a brief transcript of head coach Rich Rodriguez’s comments following practice.

On Oregon running back De’Anthony Thomas:

“He is certainly fast, very fast. He is also a tough guy that has great ball skills, so he is a guy that everyone would want in their program I would think.”

On the last two days of practice:

“I didn’t think yesterday was great, it was a little warm and we slopped through the beginning of practice, but the second half of practice was better. I thought today’s focus was good.”

On how important the play of Tra’Mayne Bondurant will be this week:

“I think he is big every week no matter who we play. This is certainly a week that we have to be assignment sound and have great discipline in our technique.”

On the play of the defensive ends:

“I think Dominique Austin has had a good year for us and Taimi Tutogi has given us a big lift out there. They have been solid but this will be our biggest test.”

On the play of Willie Mobley:

“He has really climbed the depth chart. He weren’t sure if he would be in the mix, but now he is in the rotation. Like a lot of the seniors, I think he realizes this is his last shot. I’ve been really proud of the way he has come on the last several weeks.”

The Wildcats travel to Eugene, Ore. to face No. 3 Oregon on Saturday. The contest will be broadcast on ESPN at 7:30 p.m.
